About Us

In 2010 a group of friends, new to cycling, decided to challenge themselves by doing a 150 mile bike ride known as the “Mother of all Rides” (MS 150) from Tulsa, OK to Oklahoma City, OK. Knowing we had a lot of training to do and a lot to learn, we sought direction and instruction from local bike clubs. After some less than desirable experiences, we decided to create our own team.

FRIENDSHIP EXERCISE PHILANTHROPY

With 3 core values, we created S & G Cycling. Based on the experiences we had with other clubs we knew what we wanted to be about. Everyone is welcome at S & G Cycling. It doesn’t matter what your fitness level is, how many miles you can ride, what type of bike you ride, we have a place for you. There are no membership dues or fees, we are just a group of friends whom get together to meet new people, get some exercise and do something good for someone else.

Each year we will choose a charity and raise money through several different events like sponsored rides, fundraising events, and donations. This year we chose the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Oklahoma (www.nationalmssociety.org) as our philanthropic choice for 2010. MS is a disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system with no current cure. The monies raised go directly to research to one day find a cure.
